The crisis of one man’s life, caught between eternal purpose and the crushing inevitability of daily drudgery. The film is an allegorical exploration of the power and renewal of Faith. Faced with an existence in which he finds no meaning, an automaton worker in the heart of London drops out of society and attempts to revive himself: mind, body, and soul. He apprentices under a Master Craftsman, and accepts the caretaker position in an abandoned cloister. Becoming strangely drawn to the forgotten chapel housed within, and the only other tenant – a young woman who claims that God speaks to her – he begins a journey into spiritual harmony that treads the line of human sanity.

Craftsman is intended as a philosophical and theological investigation into the nature of faith. Ultimately surreal, the film is conceived as a micro-budget art house picture – a daring project for a bold investor who believes in the power of cinema to create a powerful, transcendent experience.
